Business Impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic

How has your business been impacted by the #pandemic?

I am cautiously optimistic.

3 factors that kept growth frustratingly slow, are now providing some insulation.

Firstly, we are a high value service provider. Our clients seek something other than the cheapest possible offshore experience.

They want a long term partnership with us and their workers. They care about the staff assigned to them.

Our staff aren’t highly dispensable – they are intrinsic to their client’s business.

Secondly, our workers are mature professionals.

We don’t monitor them relentlessly in the office. They are committed specialists in their fields, and they enjoy being empowered and held accountable.

They can be trusted to deliver even in a home based environment.

Finally, my business has always had an experienced back office team and robust HR and IT practices. And no shared PCs.

When we hit the “go” button on WFH, we could execute swiftly and efficiently.

My clients are holding steady. Some staff have reduced hours, but losses are low.

I won’t complain about my slow growth again. Over 5 years it has been steady and sustainable. And it turns out it has ensured our survival even in this unexpected situation.
