Committed to People Development

As part of Yempo’s ongoing commitment to staff development, this year we introduced 2 interns or OJTs (on-the job trainees) and a fresh graduate into our organisation.

Not only does this honour the commitment to our employees and the community, these young, fresh, talented folk give us feedback on our practices and operations that those of us who have been in the workforce for many years might miss.

One of our OJTs left us on Friday and we will sorely miss her. As an HR intern, Issa Padul learnt a lot in her 160 hours with Yempo, and we learned from her! She had a particular knack for chasing up applicants who were tardy in submitting all their information, and to hear her on the phone, assertively extracting time commitments was a constant delight! And her research and presentation on appropriate performance rating systems for an organisation with varying client needs will stand us in good stead as our organisation expands and diversifies.

We wish Issa all the best as she concludes her studies, and hope she will come back to visit us, either as a fully fledged HR practitioner keen to work with us, or to just drop in and say hi.
