End of June Coronavirus Update

How is the pandemic unfolding in your country?

Here in the Philippines, there is good news and bad.

The good news is that my entire workforce remains home based. Still delivering. High productivity, happy clients.

Miraculously, the internet has held up!

We aren’t being pressed to return to the office by our clients. Our health and well being is their utmost priority.

I’ve even signed more clients than under normal conditions. In the 2nd quarter of this year, more new businesses turned to Yempo than in any other quarter in our history.

Then there’s the negatives.

Cebu, where I live, is now the hotspot for Coronavirus in the Philippines.

We’ve had short notice changes about increased restrictions, road closures. Most recently, the cancellation of our quarantine passes. A new system is coming.

A senior military general has been posted to Cebu to oversee the situation.

Because rules aren’t being followed, we are being locked down tighter.

It’s what we must expect. Restrictions are lifted, cases climb so restrictions are tightened. This IS the new normal.

Not just here in the Philippines, but everywhere.
