Chico’s Typhoon Woes
Mummy has been telling us for a long time that we are sending her broke, and I guess it finally happened. For nearly 3 weeks we’ve been living in poverty; I guess she can’t afford to pay the bills. We have to sit in the dark in the evening because the lights don’t work, and mum goes to bed so very early instead of sitting with us while the hum of the TV sends us to sleep. For 2 weeks the air conditioners weren’t running and we nearly died of heat stroke, then a cool change came in and mummy insists on keeping the windows open so we are all freezing. We usually have hot pads for when we are cold but they aren’t working either.
Mum always tells us we have to drink more water, but our fountains aren’t running, and I can’t see how we can be expected to drink out of still bowls. It’s just not on.
Even our food has been affected. We normally have special high quality home made food that is ground by Lyn and Lanie, but we just get dished up canned food.
Playing and hunting in the garden is unpleasant due to a huge machine that makes a hideous noise and gives us all headaches. And we aren’t allowed in the garden unsupervised anyway because a fence is busted. Mummy said that the fence came down in the typhoon and that’s why everything has changed, but I think either she can’t pay the bills or she’s punishing us for something. We don’t know what a typhoon is anyway.
How long do we have to suffer this hardship? We were a bit tetchy but have decided to behave in case that makes mum happy enough to put everything back to normal. #theworldaccordingtochico .
