Catering: CityLights Housewarming

When a good friend moved into a beautiful apartment with sweeping views of Cebu City, she asked if I would cater her housewarming event.

One of the advantages of catering as a hobby, is that I don’t have to think about profit margins. Providing this service at cost means the host has more funds for high quality and innovative dishes, instead of fillers or cheap ingredients. And it means I have more leeway with dishes and don’t have to cut corners.

I served 3 fish dishes at this event, and all were very popular, as was the salad.

But the course I was most excited about was the pannacotta with mango, which I served in eggshells. They looked like soft boiled eggs but were a delicious sweet mouthful.
